About
Marketing first, then the code.
I spent four years in marketing and analytics before I wrote anything for production — social and paid at Athletic Republic, then digital strategy for Banners.com, Decals.com, and Stickers.com at Lakes Area Graphix & Signworx. That’s the unusual part of my background and it’s also the useful part: I learned which numbers a business actually acts on long before I learned how to build the thing that moves them.
Building started because the tools I wanted didn’t exist. I needed to audit six hundred product pages and no product would do it the way I’d do it by hand, so I built one with Claude Code and MCP connections into Semrush and Search Console. It’s still the work I’m proudest of — not because the code is clever, but because it replaced a week of somebody’s life with twenty minutes.

A site that doesn’t work for somebody is a site that doesn’t work.
Which is the whole reason I care about accessibility, and about performance on a real phone rather than in a demo.
How I work
01
Build it, then instrument it
Every project ships with the measurement already wired up, because a number nobody collected is a number nobody acts on.
02
Static until proven otherwise
Servers are a liability on a small-business budget. Most sites I build are files on a CDN and survive being ignored for a year.
03
Accessible because people use it
Contrast, keyboard order, and real semantics are part of the build, not a Lighthouse chore at the end.
What I bring is a day job architecting agentic AI systems across a three-brand e-commerce portfolio, a habit of instrumenting everything I ship, and a low tolerance for sites that are fast in a demo and slow for a real person on a phone.
I’m in Minnesota, and alongside the day job I run a small practice called webcraft — small-business sites in WordPress or Next.js and Sanity, plus the Google and Facebook Ads that feed them. Omnia Physical Therapy and Workout 24/7 both came through that door.
